Summary and scope
Council is requiring a contractor for the next 12 months (with possibility of extension to a max.of a further 12 months) to undertake: • Weekly collection of mattresses from Cessnock Waste Management Centre, 1967 Old Maitland Rd, Cessnock. • Mattress drop off events – attendance at 3 drop off events (on 17 October 2020 and in March and June 2021) where contractor staff will collect, remove and recycle mattresses received. These events will be held on a Saturday at either Cessnock or Kurri Kurri from 8am to 12pm. Council requires interested contractors to include its response: Method of pickup and response time; Safe Work Method Statements (relevant SWMS and Quality Management); Certificates of Currency of Insurances (Public Liability, Workers Compensation and Vehicle) Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy Physical resources (Staff and equipment) - to provide drop-off events Price Schedule (per mattress) for mattresses received at the CMWC and for drop-off events. Experience of undertaking similar services and references; Details of processing and resource recovery achieved from mattresses collected.
