Project Engineering Services - Expressions of Interest

Summary and scope

Suitably qualified engineers and engineering consultants are invited to submit an expression of interest and quotation for the services described below; The services will mainly relate to estimating and scheduling, project management and supervision, contract management and supervision and technical advice around Kyogle Council’s accelerated Bridge Program over the next two to three years. The Services are expected to be provided through multiple sources and with flexibility in the engagement arrangements. Options will range from a full-time in-house employment contract with Council, to specific service requests through external consultancy on an as-required basis on or off site. Duties that may be required include: • Provide Project Management and Contract Management services for Council’s Bridge and/or Roadworks Programs • Prepare contracts, tenders and specifications • Prepare project plans, estimates and job packages • Manage external grant funding records and reporting requirements • Delivery of aspects of Council’s contract road maintenance services on behalf of Transport for NSW A typical position description for a Project Engineer role at Kyogle Council is provided in Appendix 1 for reference. This position description provides further details on the expected duties, skills, and performance capabilities typical to The Services proposed. The Services may be provided either as an in-house employee under the Local Government (State) award 2020 conditions, or at an all-inclusive hourly rate (excluding reimbursable expenses) as an external consultancy where the individual or organisation holds an ABN and appropriate insurances.
