Summary and scope

Byron Shire Council is looking to improve the administration of asset maintenance systems within the Utilities team (water and sewer). To this end, Council is looking for a qualified consultant to review industry specific software packages/systems to meet Councils needs. PROJECT OBJECTIVES Review of available industry specific software packages/systems in order to improve the administration of BSC Utilities’ asset maintenance. The proponent will: • Collate a list of available packages with asset maintenance management capabilities covering the required scope as detailed in the ‘Maintenance Software Functional Description DRAFT Feb2021’ (See Appendix 1). • Determine a shortlist of the most suitable packages for further assessment. The evaluated packages must include Asset Edge Reflect and MEX. There is interest within Council in adopting these packages therefore; they must be assessed alongside other suitable software to demonstrate their appropriateness or otherwise. • Liaise with other comparable Regional Councils in the area to evaluate how they are addressing asset maintenance management and provide feedback on their experience. • Evaluate the shortlisted software using a multi criteria assessment. Criteria must include, but not be limited to the Council developed functional requirements. • Liaise with Council staff and provide advice on any additional criteria that is pertinent to assessment of options. • Provide a summary report detailing the outcomes of the multi-criteria assessment and provide advice on the most suitable software option(s) to meet Council’s needs. • An estimate of the relative cost of implementation of each option should be included
