Summary and scope
Central Coast, Cessnock, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook, Port Stephens, Singleton and Upper Hunter Councils (the Councils) are seeking to engage one or more suitably qualified contractors for the collection and processing of mattresses received at the Councils’ Waste Management Centres (WMCs), through drop-off events and from kerbside collections. The services to be provided under the contract are: • Collection of Mattresses from Waste Management Centres for resource recovery. • Kerbside collection of mattresses. • Processing and recycling of collected mattresses. Cessnock City Council is co-ordinating the Tender process on behalf of the Participating Councils. Each council will review the Tenders received and enter into a contract with the supplier that best meets their individual requirements. There is no requirement for all Councils to agree on the same or any contractor.
