Primarily, there are two (2) general options: 1) a) Retain the current brick structure at the bore head (pictured) to house the Rainbird irrigation controller for the ‘Airstrip’ irrigation network, the modem for the pump start controlled by the offsite Cloudmaster controller for the ‘Main Field” irrigation network, the pump relays, pressure gauge and all other hydraulic & electrical connections generally AND retain & connect all required hydraulic pipes & electrical cabling to the new bore head in a new location below ground with an accessible checker plate lid at ground level OR 2) Construct new bore head housing of suitable size at the new location with good accessibility to the Rainbird Controller, pump modem for the Cloudmaster and associated relays, flow meter/s and necessary hydraulic & electrical connections generally. Stage 2 - Reconstruct the bore in a new location with all component requirements inclusive of bore casing, screen and gravel pack with a submersible pump of sufficient capacity with draw cable and high/low water level probes installed. The bore reconstruction must be in accordance with: • the terms as set out in the Notice of Determination & Statement of Approval issued by the Natural Resource Access Regulator (NRAR) in November 2020 • the preferred option for new bore location and bore head housing type • The new bore must be within 20metres of the current bore Before commencement of works the chosen Contractor must satisfy themselves and Council that a comprehensive Services Survey is undertaken, inclusive of but not limited to, a Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) application that covers the proposed site of excavation. The approval from the NRAR to reconstruct the bore in a new location has an Expiry Date of 30 June 2021. Accordingly, works will need to be completed by this date. Consideration should be given to reuse of the existing submersible pump if testing confirms it as serviceable. Otherwise, a new pump should be installed according to the specifications set out in Appendix B.
