Summary and scope

Broken Hill city Council is seeking to purchase a new medium-wheel based loader for use at their Waste Management Facility. The new loader will be a replacement for the existing 966H Caterpillar Wheel Loader, 2010. Due to change of working requirements at the Waste Facility, the new loader will decrease in size to what is currently used and will have all the safety equipment if it is needed to be used in firefighting circumstances. The new Loader must meet the following requirements: • Vehicle Specifications: (approximates) Length (without Bucket) – 6.9 m Height (To top of hood) – 2.7 m Wheelbase – 3.35 m Ground clearance – 0.37 m Operating Weight – 19214 kg. Net Power – ISO 9249 – 248 HP Tyres – Solid filled tyres. • Attachments Specifications: (approximates) 4 in 1 Bucket (essential) Forks (essential) Riddle/ Shaker Bucket (optional) • Air ride seat. • Reversing cameras/ buzzer. • Flashing LED lights. • Particle filter in Cabin for smoke, dust, chemical fumes, etc. • LED Spotlights – for night work. • Fire Suppression unit as per AS 562:2016 (Costings for both manual and automatic options) • Fire retardant hydraulic hoses for all of machine with wire guards. • Reinforced underbelly. • UHF unit. • Tinted windows. • Air conditioning unit. • Radio/ Bluetooth compatible sound system. • Retractable steps for entry (rear of loader preferrable).
