Summary and scope

The Canopy is a premium retail and dining precinct situated in the Lane Cove Central Business District (CBD) and retail village, set across (more than) 6000m2 of architecturally landscaped park land. The development consists of five (5) street level specialty retail tenancies developed exclusively for dining, food and beverage, as well as two anchor tenants (supermarkets) located on the lower ground level. Coles and Aldi are discretely positioned under the park level and work seamlessly with the upper level retail to draw passing trade and consumers. In addition, there is parking for 484 visitors and a large open green space that includes BBQ facilities, a children’s playground and a bandstand / stage which will be utilised for the customary calendar events and other special events throughout the year. The Canopy is a Council owned development designed by Scott Carver Architects and built by ADCO Constructions. Careful consideration has been given to the high quality of finishes and materials throughout this development. All amenities and facilities are of a high standard to create an urbane dining experience and preserve a high regard with consumers and visitors. The retail tenancies are set within a tranquil park setting and The Canopy is adjacent to an established residential area of medium density housing. Council is calling for detailed Tender Responses from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the Provision of Building & Facilities Management Services, Cleaning and Security (Works/Services). Council is undertaking a Request for Tender process to seek and engage a suitably experienced contractor to carry out the Works/Services.
