Summary and scope

Sutherland Shire Council is shortly about to undertake Stage 2A of upgrade works of the Cronulla Town Centre at the easternmost end of the Kingsway. This will be followed in coming years by Stages 2B and 2C. Stage 2D will be undertaken by developers of the adjacent land to SSCs design. The lighting for Stage 2A consists of a slim pole that integrates pedestrian lighting, up lighting for trees, CCTV housing, a colour changing beacon style element, and an outreach arm to provide lighting for the Kingsway roadway. The current design for Stage 2A has been created as an example and to provide baseline optics and visual requirements however it should be noted that any pole that meets the specifications will be evaluated. All submissions must be suitable for the spacing as shown on the drawings as these are part the integrated landscape design The Detail Lighting Design and Specifications for the Kingsway Stage 2A are attached as appendices.
