Summary and scope

Isaac Regional Council is undertaking an upgrade on the Clermont Alpha Road on behalf of TMR. As part of this project, the pavement gravel is required to be manufactured in the gravel pit located at chainage 42.8km on the Clermont Alpha Road. TMR have a pit located at chainage 42.8km on the southern side of the Clermont Alpha Road, which has been used by TMR to produce Type 3.2 gravel for upgrades on the Clermont Alpha Road. Preparation of gravel may require mixing of material from 2 sites within the gravel pit. The goods required in this tender is the manufacture of Type 3.2 gravel. The quantity required is between 3500m3 and 10,000m3 depending on the final volume of gravel required for the road upgrade. The price schedule is broken down into three (3) separable portions with the range of volumes varying. The portions are as per table listed in the Tender Specification and may be awarded to one or more contractors. MANDATORY PRE-TENDER SITE MEETING Tenderers are required to attend a tender briefing/site inspection on Tuesday 10 August 2021 at 10am at the Red Rock Pit at chainage 43km on the Clermont Alpha Road. The site inspection will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the Contact Person prior to the Closing Time. Failure to attend this briefing/site inspection will render the Tenderer ineligible to Tender.
