Stanage Bay Road, Kunwarara is located approximately 80 kilometres north of Rockhampton, and is the primary access road to the township of Stanage Bay. Stanage Bay Road itself is approximately 100 kilometres in length beginning at the Bruce Highway and ending at the Stanage Township. Stanage Bay Road currently has sections of road previously sealed amounting to 17.6 kilometres total which are all located towards the southern end of the road near the Bruce Highway, however the majority of Stanage Bay Road remains as an unsealed gravel road.
