2021-1097 - Sewer Pump Stations 3018 & 3020 Refurbishment Work

Summary and scope

Byron Shire Council is looking to engage a suitable civil contractor to complete the civil works associated with the refurbishment of SPS 3018 and 3020 in Byron Bay and Suffolk Park, respectively. A summary of the works for each SPS is as follows: SPS 3018 – Remove and replace pumps and pump pedestals (supplied by Council), replace riser pipes to within the valve chamber (up to the check valves) and guide rails and support brackets, replace the switchboard (supplied by Council) including upgrade of the power supply, remove and dispose replacement items. Remove and dispose the wet well ladder. Remove and reinstate the water meter assembly, remove the vent pole and reinstate with a ground mounted McBerns odour Unit. Install a bypass connection Tee. Allowance shall be made for internal epoxy coating works to be completed between removal and reinstatement of internal mechanical items. SPS 3020 – Replace riser pipes to within the valve chamber (up to the check valves). Remove and dispose the wet well ladder, install a vent pipe and install a ground mounted McBerns odour Unit. Install a bypass connection Tee in the valve chamber
