Summary and scope
Walcha Council is seeking contractors to provide a design, supply and install of standalone overhead solar lighting for 2.9km of pathways to the PP4 lighting standard as per AS/NZS 1158.3.1:2020. The lighting will run along the shared pathways atop both sides of the levee banks of the Apsley River in Walcha. Each light must have a motion censor and it's own battery capable of running for multiple nights of overcast weather. The lights must remain in a 'standby' low light mode until the motion sensor is triggered and the light enters full power mode. The footing for the light poles must be offset from the edge of the path by ~600mm. The light poles can be installed on either side of the path due to issues caused by the large amount of trees that are in the way. A design must be supplied showing the locations of each light ensuring the PP4 standard is maintained for Council to complete required vegetation works.
