2122-30 Callander Road Drainage Upgrade – Stage 1

Summary and scope

The works generally consist of the following elements: 1.2.1 Drainage Works The works primarily involve the augmentation of the existing drainage network and thus the drainage pipes installed will be in addition to the existing network. Appendix 2 contains the relevant drainage plans for stage 1. This is an abridged version of the complete works found in appendix 3. Appendix 3 is provided for reference and context. 1.2.2 Resurfacing Works Between pit 1-11 and 1-17, areas of Callander Road not affected by the drainage trench are to be profiled and resurfaced. 1.2.3 Callander x Jenkins Raised Platform As part of Council’s LATM program, a raised platform has been proposed at the intersection of Callander Road and Jenkins St. The plans for this can be found in Appendix 4. Please note that the additional profiling and reinstatement given can be disregarded if all asphalt works are undertaken at the same time. Note: the proposed platform mentioned at the intersection of Callander Road and Vincent Crescent is not part of this project. 1.2.4 Provisional: Existing pipe replacement Some pipe sections within Council’s existing drainage network have become displaced. It is intended that failed sections within the scope of works will be replaced as part of these works. Most of the sections identified are on Callander Road, located within the nature strip next to the new pipe.
