Summary and scope
Wagga Wagga City Council (WWCC) is looking to upgrade the intersection to achieve an improved level of safety and service, as part of these works WWCC will upgrade the road pavement and stormwater within the project area. WWCC is also looking to provide enhanced and DDA compliant connectivity between the newly upgraded Museum of the Riverina and Botanic Gardens parallel to the road works. WWCC has conceptualised three options for the project works, defined by a range of possible pedestrian systems, they are as follows: • Option A – Pedestrian Underpass (Grade-separated) using the alignment of the existing shared culvert • Option B – Pedestrian Overpass (Grade-separated) • Option C – Pedestrian Refuge (On-grade) WWCC is seeking proposals for each of these design solutions. Based on the pros and cons of each option, one option will be selected for full design and construction. Site Meeting A mandatory Site Meeting is scheduled for 11.00am on Wednesday 3 August 2022. Registration to attend this meeting can be made to conolly.melinda@wagga.nsw.gov.au.
