T2023-28 Design and Construct Footbridges in Cessnock LGA

Summary and scope

Cessnock City Council is seeking suitable organisations that can provide services for the below projects. The project involves the design, fabrication and installation of a footbridge at three separate sites on the Bridges Hill Park to Wine Country Drive shared path route in Cessnock. Each site has a unique set of constraints. Subject to available funding Council may award a contract for all three sites or Council may award a contract for just two sites being the Manning Park site and the site at Henderson Avenue. The Contractor’s activities include: • The design and construction of a new 13 metres long shared path footbridge over Black Creek in Henderson Avenue Cessnock. • The design and construction of a new 13 metres long shared path footbridge over Bellbird Creek in Manning Park Cessnock. • The design and construction of 1.5m of path widening, 12 metres long, over an unnamed watercourse on Wine Country Drive near Austral Street. Geotechnical investigation has been completed for each site and a report is available for Tenderers. A topographic survey has been completed for the path route and includes each of the three footbridge sites.
