Design and Construct Landervale Fire Station

Summary and scope

Narrandera Shire Council is working with the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) to deliver a new Fire Station at Lanadervale. NSW RFS has previously engaged MJM Consulting engineers to develop concept plans for the project which is to be used as the basis of design, along with the scope of works – 2b fire station. NSW RFS with the assistance of Council has now decided to engage an experienced and suitably qualified Contractor to prepare the detailed design and construct the Fire Station that must include: • The structure must be based upon the designs as provided, unless specified below. • The building is to be designed to be AS1428.1 – Design for Access and Mobility compliant. • The development must comply with the Development consent condition applied by council. • Slab and footings to be costed with an assumed soil classification of M-D, with a geotechnical assessment and report to be undertaken prior to structural design. • All materials and equipment required to undertake the project are to be included within the costings. • Costing to include all required approvals, i.e. construction certificate and Section 68 approval.
