Summary and scope
Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) requires a Contractor to repair defects that have been identified and documented within the Hut Creek Bridge structure, in the vicinity of Ambrose, Queensland. The bridge is located on Gentle Annie Road, less than 1km to the southwest of Ambrose. Hut Creek Bridge is comprised of two equal spans of 11.03m each, with four steel taper flange beams in each span. Reinforced concrete diaphragms are present at the girder ends and midspan. A 200mm thick reinforced concrete deck is provided along the girders. The Contractor is required to mobilise to the site and complete the following repair activities: a. the application of concrete patching to abutments; b. infilling of a void that has developed around a guardrail post; c. the installation of sealant beneath the steel deck joint; and d. the removal of flood debris that has built-up within the waterway.
