Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking tenders for qualified commercial entities to undertake maintenance work on Aeration Tank no 1 at Merimbula Sewage Treatment Plant on the Far South Coast of NSW. The purpose of the Works is to refurbish the Merimbula Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Aeration Tank Number 1 to: • Improve the biological treatment by removing the grit and sludge at the bottom of the aeration tank and installation of a new controlled activated sludge line. • Undertake maintenance on the civil and mechanical assets whilst the tank is offline. The works need to be undertaken between June and end of September due to seasonal loading on the plant. Suggested to start mid-June giving operations time to take the tank offline after the June long weekend. Please note that the mandatory pre-tender briefing session has been moved from 11am to 2pm - The date remails the same (now 2pm on Thursday the 23rd February).
