2223-50 Concrete, Drainage & Asphalt Maintenance Works

Summary and scope

The work to be executed under this specification consists of Concrete, Asphalt and Drainage works at locations and times as instructed by the Superintendent throughout the term of the contract. A panel of Contractors will be selected for the delivery of these works. The work shall consist of all Labour, plant, and equipment to carry out Concrete, Asphalt and Drainage works including: • all excavation, including saw cutting and removal of existing paving, existing pipes and pits and asphalt necessary for the construction of the new paving, pipes and pits, asphalt, and base material • the cleaning up, removal and disposal of the excavated material from the site, including expenses such as tip fees, charges and levies • the supply, delivery, spread, and compaction of 75mm thickness of 20mm fine crushed rock base material under paths, should the existing base be unsuitable • supply and construction of paving, pipes and pits and laying of asphalt to relevant council standards • reinstatement of nature strip/reserve behind the back of kerb with selected excavated material compacted to match the density of surrounding undisturbed material • provide and maintain surveying and setting out of alignments and levels • all investigation necessary to locate and expose underground assets such as pipes, pits, cables and conduits, including liaison with utility companies and residents and hand digging where required • provision of evidence works (videos and/or digital photographs) if required • all safety requirements such as traffic control, confined space entry and OH&S compliances • any other activities and items required for the satisfactory completion of all tasks associated with the work under this contract
