Summary and scope
The Bermagui library is being refurbished to make it a more pleasant and practical atmosphere for community and staff, and to add a creative space for community. The Bermagui community has been engaging in a range of STEM and creative activities and this proposal would adapt the existing space to provide a purpose built makerspace facility (the first in the Bega Valley). The refurbishment project consists of the following key deliverables; • The administration\service desk is getting demolished and rebuilt which will increase visibility into the library and improve circulation. • New glazed entrance with automatic sliding door to match adjacent glazing on visitor information centre. • Demolition of central wall and storage area to make way for a purpose built multifunction makerspace and training room.
