Detailed Design of Tea Gardens Rising Main & Transfer Pump Station

Summary and scope

The tender is for the detailed design of the Tea Gardens Rising Main and Transfer Station Upgrade and will include the following; Transfer Pump Station a) Confirm flow rates of existing system and proposed new developments areas b) Undertake detailed hydraulic calculations based on the final alignment and pipe sizing, including a transient surge analysis c) Selects specific pumps for the transfer pump station based on the outcomes of the hydraulic calculations d) Undertake investigation on whole system operational control philosophy e) Detailed investigation into sewage age, odour and septicity based on the expected inflows and the size of wet well when the transfer pump station will be commissioned f) Detailed investigation and (condition) assessment of transfer pump station wet well concrete surface considering H2S corrosion of the concrete surfaces g) Finalise pipework material selection, pump selection and valve selection to achieve the required design flow during operation period h) Finalise fit out and arrangement within transfer pumping station, including connection to existing infrastructure, and consideration for installation and maintenance access i) Undertake detailed electrical design based on the selected pumps and power requirement in transfer pump station Sewer Rising Main a) Conduct appropriate site investigations including survey and service location, and further geotechnical investigation if needed. b) Finalise the exact pipeline alignment based on geotechnical information, survey and service location c) Finalise pipe material based on Council operational preference, sizing and pressure rating d) Completed detailed design pipeline including various valves locations aligned the pipeline, pipeline profile including the HDD sections and trenchless road crossings and integration into existing system.
