Summary and scope
MidCoast Council is planning to Dredge Tuncurry Channel and has approx. 35,000m3 (cubic metres) of Dredged Sand over two campaigns of 16,500m³ and 18,500m3 respectively for Sale by Tender. The Dredged sand will be stockpiled in Vincent Fazio Park opposite the Tuncurry boat ramp and will be available progressively for pickup throughout the dredging process. It is expected that approx. 650m3 of sand will be available for pickup on a daily basis. Due to space limitations, the quantity of Project Location sand stockpiled on site cannot exceed 3000m3 and therefore sufficient trucks are required on a daily basis to ensure the stockpile size is kept under the 3000m3 limit.
