Summary and scope
EOI T2025-05 Future Ownership, Management and Use of Former Richmond Main Colliery Site To Identify interested parties with capability to realise the fullest potential of the former Richmond Main Colliery land and buildings (Site) while preserving the historical, cultural and valued community elements established under Cessnock City Council (Council) ownership. Objective The strategic intent of this EOI is inherent in the Council resolution dated 15 May 2024. Council resolved to: Undertake an Expression of Interest process to determine potential uses for lot 31 DP 594396 and lot 2 DP 716009, being Council-owned operational land comprising the former Richmond Main Colliery land and buildings, that outlines the community benefit of the future proposed use of the site. Accordingly, the EOI seeks to identify a Proponent with the necessary experience, expertise and capacity to manage and maintain the land and assets. The successful Proponent will be a separate entity to Council with demonstrably feasible and long-term plans to take ownership and / or control of the Site and utilise the assets to provide long-term community benefits having regard to the purpose, requirements and constraints detailed in this Specification. Closing at 2.00pm on Tuesday 25th at February 2025
