Weddin Shire Council, is inviting proposals from suitably experienced consultants in regional event management and marketing to support the Henry Lawson Festival of Arts committee in the delivery of the of the 2027, 2028 and 2029 Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival. The Committee is a section 355 committee of Council. The Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival of Arts will be held on the following dates: • Thursday 10 June to Monday 14 June 2027 • Thursday 8 June to Monday 12 June 2028 • Thursday 7 June to Monday 11 June 2029 Weddin Shire, population 3700, is in central west New South Wales, 345km west of Sydney and 185km north of Canberra. Grenfell is the main town within the shire, and is the birthplace of Henry Lawson, one of Australia's most famous poets, who was born on Grenfell's gold fields in 1867.
