Project: Sydney Metro West - (TSMO) Trains, Systems, Maintenance and Operations Project owner: METRO TRAINS WEST PTY LTD Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Open Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Metro Trains West (MTW) is a multi-disciplinary, large-scale infrastructure project with a vast and evolving supply chain. While we release specific work packages for major scopes, we recognize that many specialized providers, local businesses, and innovators offer products and services that may not fit into a standard category. This "Other Opportunities" EOI is an open invitation for businesses to register their interest in providing niche, ad-hoc, or innovative solutions that can add value, efficiency, or safety to the MTW project. This page is intended for businesses that do not see a specific work package currently listed on the ICN Gateway that matches their core offering. This includes, but is not limited to: Innovation & Technology: Start-ups or tech firms offering AI-driven project controls, drone inspections, AR/VR training, or bespoke software solutions. Specialist Consultancy: Niche advisors in fields such as acoustics, heritage conservation, vibration monitoring, or specialized legal/commercial advisory. Niche Site Services: Specialized industrial services, custom signage, event management for project milestones, or unique environmental mitigation tools. Miscellaneous Consumables: Suppliers of unique materials, specialized chemicals, or patented construction components. Community & Creative: Local artists, community engagement specialists, and photographers/videographers. Project overview: The Metro Trains West Consortium,a joint venture led by MTR Corporation with CRRC Corporation Limited, was awarded the Train, Systems, maintenance and Operations contract for the Sydney Metro West project.The contract will deliver 16 driverless metro trains and tunnel fit out as well as provision of operations and maintenance services for a 15-year period upon the opening of the line.The TSMO Package includes the following scope:Design, supply, integrate, test and commission the rolling stock, signalling, communications and control systems and platform screen doors, to deliver driverless, automated train operations, as well as equipment works at specified facilities, including the operations control centre;Provision of operational input and services during the delivery phase including in relation to design review activities, rail accreditation, the distribution network service provider role, testing and commissioning, operational readiness and trial operations; andProvision of customer and operational services and the maintenance of all infrastructure delivered for the project for the duration of the operations phase.ICN Gateway Company RegistrationYour ICN Gateway company profile and any registrations of interest you submit are used to assess your organisation's ability to complete projects.Click here to create a new company profile or to login to your existing company profile.
