Project: NSW Renewable Energy Zones and Priority Transmission Infrastructure Projects Project owner: EnergyCo NSW Location: NSW Australia Work package status: Open Scope: Full Scope Work package description: Express interest to be informed for project updates and any opportunities that will arise for this project. Project overview: EnergyCo leads the delivery of renewable energy zones (REZs) to ensure long-term energy security for NSW.These zones will harness the state's abundant wind and solar resources to keep the lights on and deliver clean, affordable and reliable electricity to everyone in the state.The work EnergyCo is doing under the NSW Government's Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap (the Roadmap) involves upgrading the grid to connect new generation and storage projects into the electricity system.EnergyCo is the infrastructure planner for 5 REZ and 2 priority transmission infrastructure projects. These are:Central-West Orana REZNew England REZSouth-West REZHunter-Central Coast REZIllawarra REZThe Hunter Transmission ProjectThe Waratah Super Battery ProjectEnergyCo also coordinates enabling infrastructure work like road upgrades across the state.
