Project overview: Hunter Transmission Project - local supplier expressions of interestThe Hunter Transmission Project (HTP) is critical State significant infrastructure project.EnergyCo is seeking expressions of interest from local Hunter region suppliers to be part of the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP), supporting the state's clean energy transition.The HTP involves building a new overhead 500 kilovolt transmission line spanning around 100 kilometres between Bayswater in the Upper Hunter and Olney in the Lower Hunter.The HTP will also include building 2 new switching stations in Bayswater and Olney and works at the existing Bayswater and Eraring substations.EnergyCo will appoint two main contractors to manage the design and construction of the HTP - one for the transmission line and one for the substations/switching stations.The project is currently in the planning phase and construction is anticipated to start from 2026.A local supplier database will be included in the procurement package when EnergyCo appoints the design and construct contractors and network operator.Learn more about related opportunities in NSW's renewable energy zones.How to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) for this database- Work packages currently available to submit an EOI for are listed in the 'Work Packages' tab above.
