Walcha Off Creek Storage 1 (OCS1) - Package 6b - Pumping Station Upgrade, Civil and Mechanical

Summary and scope

In response to recently experienced periods of severe drought, Walcha Council have constructed a new 300 ML off creek storage (OCS1) reservoir, and are commencing significant upgrades to their existing pumping infrastructure. The proposed upgrades to the existing River Offtake Pumping Station (ROPS) include augmentation of the existing offtake wharf and dry well structures, modification of the internal mechanical fitout of the existing dry well and replacement of the existing switchboard, as well as new suction pipework, delivery pipelines, valve pits and other components. These upgrades will allow the pumping station to fill OCS1 while simultaneously transferring flows to Walcha. Works in this package The Works under this contract primarily involves civil and mechanical construction works for upgrade of the existing ROPS, with Works including: ? Partial demolition of various existing structure ? Concrete foundations, footings, valve pits and trenched pipeline construction ? Civil earthworks, access roads and hardstand areas ? Unloading, inspection and installation of various Principal Supplied Items (e.g. pumps, valves, instruments, metal fabricated items – includes assembly on Site) ? Mechanical fitout of ROPS dry well and valve pits ? Coordination/completion of pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing activities. This Contract pertains to these works only, and is referred to as Package 6b (Pumping Station Upgrade, Civil and Mechanical).
