Summary and scope
In May 2025 MidCoast Council (MCC) encountered a record-breaking flood event severely impacting critical infrastructure which is now eligible for replacement under the NSW Reconstruction Authority (NSW RA) guidelines. MCC has completed detailed investigations, designs, TfNSW specifications, and now seeks tender from suitably qualified and experienced civil contractors to replace Bight Bridge Wingham NSW 2429.Bight bridge is located approx. 15min drive west of Taree spanning the Manning River and is accessed via Tinonee Rd and Lobban Rd. The bridge is currently closed with access limited to either side.Construction commencement is subject to receipt of suitable tender and NSW RA construction funding approvals.
